Responsibilites- Build autonomous vehicles by:
- Helping fabricated components
- Helping build harnesses
- Integrating sensors, compute, harnesses onto the vehicles
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve mechanical & electrical issues.
- Maintain high standard of safety and organization in our lab
- Integrating systems including AC/DC high and low voltages, structural components, coolant, CAN, and scripting.
- Provide careful, detail-oriented documentation during tests, and inspections
- Communicate technical questions and findings in a concise and descriptive manner
- Diagnose and troubleshoot test setup errors and failures.
- Willing to travel to support internal and external testing plans
Required Skills- Creative approach to problem solving, with willingness to learn and try new things
- Can quickly adapt to learning new technologies
- Is self-directing, able to work across the entire organization to collect parts and information to execute job responsibilities
- Ability to work both independently and with team members
- Methodical and diligent, works with a strong sense of quality and craft
- Excellent documentation and written communication
- Mechanical fabrication skills, machine shop experience, expert with hand and power tools
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude - Practice disassembly and reassembly of electromechanical systems without instructions
- Experience making wiring harnesses by way of soldering, crimping, following wiring diagrams etc.
