This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
- As an engineering operations lead embedded within the Lunar Transfer Stage System Test team, you will help ensure that our test campaigns and engineering deliverables are planned, tracked, and executed with rigor and efficiency. You will support the team's day-to-day operational rhythm, helping translate engineering work into structured plans and keeping leadership informed of progress, risks, and schedule health.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Support the development and maintenance of integrated test campaign schedules, tracking progress against key milestones and flagging risks and variances to leadership
- Assist technical leads in translating engineering scope into structured work plans, including task identification, sequencing, and resource loading
- Support week-to-week planning and execution tracking for the system test team, helping maintain alignment between program-level plans and day-to-day operations
- Prepare and communicate regular status updates on cost, schedule, and risk to engineering and program management
- Identify and escalate schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and execution gaps, and support development of recovery plans
- Coordinate across internal teams and customers to support test readiness activities, review preparation, and deliverable tracking
- Support risk and opportunity identification and help maintain the team's risk register
- Assist in the development of statements of work and support coordination of external services as needed
Minimum Qualifications- BS or MS in engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, engineering operations, or program support in a technical environment
- Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar scheduling and tracking tools
- Ability to build and maintain project schedules and track progress against milestones
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear status updates for technical and program leadership
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting test campaigns or engineering operations for aerospace, launch vehicle, or spacecraft programs
- Experience participating in NASA technical reviews, including TRRs or FRRs
- Familiarity with agile project management methods and tools
- Experience with critical path scheduling, risk management, or earned value management (EVM)
- Experience with Jira for task tracking and sprint planning
- Familiarity with verification, integration, and test processes for spaceflight systems
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
