Madison, WI facility in its manufacturing operations. This leader will drive operational excellence through effective management of engineering, maintenance, facilities, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work ScheduleOnsite, full-time exempt position.
What You'll Do- Lead and manage equipment, tooling, facilities engineering, and maintenance functions
- Develop and manage the annual capital budget and three-year capital plan
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate engineering and maintenance team members
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain a competent and engaged workforce
- Manage capital projects from development through implementation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency
- Partner with Environmental, Health & Safety leadership to ensure OSHA and environmental compliance
- Develop and direct preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Implement equipment and tooling improvement plans to reduce downtime
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality standards
- Maintain engineering budgets and analyze financial performance
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives
- Establish and maintain 5S programs throughout manufacturing operations
- Manage disaster preparedness planning and response
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through ongoing education and industry involvement
- Support organizational objectives and perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Minimum five years of management experience leading engineering and maintenance functions
- Proven leadership and employee development skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management abilities
- Understanding of financial and business principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects with strong attention to detail
