We are currently seeking for an Engineering Designer, Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Group in our
Torontooffice. This position will provide project support to our offices across Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Duties:- Assist Senior Engineers and Design Leads in preparing design reports, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), PLC panel layouts, HMI panels, loop diagrams, and instrument installation details for major water /wastewater projects and industrial projects
- Develop Process Control Narratives including coordination with a multi-discipline team of Engineers
- Assist Senior Engineers and Design Leads in developing SCADA network architectures including Fiber Optic, Ethernet and Radio based communication networks
- Design control circuit wiring diagrams / control schematics for various types of starters and process equipment
- Generate project specifications including PLC panel components, instruments, and Process Control Narratives
- Perform Contract Administration including shop drawing review, witnessing of equipment and systems factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Perform Site Inspections including data gathering and condition assessments Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (graduation by May 2026)
- Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment control systems including Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), PLC panel layouts, loop diagrams, SCADA network architecture, instrument installation details, and Process Control Narratives is an asset
- Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written Knowledge of PLC, SCADA systems and Communications Protocols (Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.) is an asset
- AutoCAD and REVIT experience is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team with operators, programmers, process, mechanical and electrical Engineers
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff, project team members and clients
- Valid driver's license is required and ability to independently travel to project sites for site inspections, meetings and business development activities.

Compensation RangeThe salary range for this position is: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
