Full Job Description
The Process Engineer is a member of the divisional technical team supporting the Beaumont and Houston chemical plants. The position works closely with plant technical and operations teams to develop proficiency in key process technologies, resolve plant issues, and identify process improvement opportunities.

This role also collaborates with Business Development and Chemical Research and Development (R&D) on new product and process development initiatives that support business objectives. The position provides technical expertise to ensure the safe and efficient scale-up of new products and processes to the Beaumont and Houston plants.

In addition, the role provides technical support for technology licensing projects, working with customers, internal teams, and external engineering firms.

What You Will Do
  • Provide technical support to plant technical and operations teams to identify and resolve plant issues
  • Collaborate with plant technical, operations, and leadership teams to identify and implement process and technology improvements that enhance safety, quality, raw material/energy efficiencies, or productivity
  • Provide technical guidance to the R&D organization on new product and process development projects
  • Lead scale-up of new products and processes from R&D to manufacturing to ensure safe and efficient transfer of the technology
  • Support alternate raw material sourcing programs to improve supply security or reduce costs
  • Support existing and new technology licensing opportunities in collaboration with business development, customers, internal teams, and external engineering firms


What You Bring
  • Understanding of the company's products, processes, and markets, or similar industry products
  • Understand polymer and chemical processes
  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in R&D or chemical manufacturing
  • Project management experience
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with R&D or polymer process experience
  • Experience with solution or emulsion polymerization technologies and manufacturing preferred, but not required
