Engineer, Research

Valencia, California - HYBRID

Join Advanced Bionics as an Engineer, Research and help develop innovative software and firmware solutions for cochlear implant systems and implantable hearing technologies. You will work in a collaborative research environment alongside software developers, DSP engineers, scientists, and clinicians to evaluate emerging technologies and advance the future of hearing healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of firmware and software for cochlear implant systems and other implantable hearing solutions.
  • Contribute to software codebases using C and C#/.NET under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with software verification activities, including unit testing, automated testing, and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using version control and software-development best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain software requirements, design documentation, engineering records, and test reports.
  • Support research projects through prototyping, data collection, analysis, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Learn and apply applicable medical-device quality-system and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records in accordance with internal quality and regulatory requirements.

This role's pay range is between $79,200 and $99,000. This role is also bonus eligible.
