Bowman has an opportunity for an Engineer III, Electrical (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Houston, TX.

Purpose

Hold a senior-level position, responsible for providing strategic guidance, technical oversight, and innovation in electrical engineering projects. Lead the design, planning, and execution of large-scale electrical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and driving excellence in engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection, alternative analyses and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Qualifications

  • Four to seven (4-7) years of relevant industry-related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of power distribution, control systems and electrical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement electrical engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills - written and verbal.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Strong relationship capabilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.


Physical Demands and Working Environment

  • Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasionally outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
  • Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
