Full Job Description
We're looking for a motivated and technically strong Mechanical Engineer to join our Commercial team and contribute to the delivery of complex, high-impact facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative group within a firm recognized for excellence in engineering consulting and long-standing leadership in the healthcare sector.
In this role, you'll work closely with a Senior Manager and experienced team members who bring deep industry knowledge and mentorship. You'll apply your mechanical engineering expertise and project management skills across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, including Office, hotels, recreation & community centres, airports, defense and federal/provincial/municipal buildings. From concept through construction, you'll help develop practical, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions that meet client needs and support patient well-being.
You'll be involved in technical design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing communication with clients to ensure project objectives are met. This role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, managing multiple priorities, and building strong client relationships while maintaining a high standard of technical excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
3 Seasoned professional individual contributor
3 Delivers technical designs for projects of varying complexity that could involve technical complexity, high project value and multiple trades
3 Independently creates conceptual designs, design specifications and assesses constructability and does so on a regular basis
3 Independently develops standards and reports and can sign off on them
3 Assists in creating project plans, participates in project planning and project management meetings and provides improvement recommendations to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met
3 Starts to peer review work of more junior engineers for conventional projects
3 Completes own work within budgeted hours
3 Ensures technical accuracy of deliverables
3 Accountable for all designs through to construction completion
3 Works independently in solving difficult and sometimes complex problems
3 Other duties as required
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
3 Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3 P.Eng with EGBC
3 5+ years engineering consulting experience
3 Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
3 Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
3 Good accuracy and documentation skills
3 Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

TOTAL REWARDS
The expected salary for this role is between $85,000 to $115,000 annually. Base salaries are determined considering several factors such as skills and competencies, experience, education, and internal and external competitiveness.
