The Engineering Cloud job supports the planning for the company's cloud platform. This job assists in developing and implementing operational plans for the processes and standards of developing the organization's technology architecture through the creation of a new cloud platform design. Additionally, this job lends consultative support to multiple teams within the organization to provide technical expertise and insight, along with maintaining consistent knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the related technology space.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Collaborates with various stakeholders on the strategic vision for the enterprise leveraging cloud, managed solutions and traditional capabilities; make recommendations on new solutions and technologies
- Supports the design, development, and implementation of new, cutting edge cloud platform within the organization.
- Verifies cloud platform allows business applications to transform into scalable, elastic systems that can be created on demand.
- Supports the implementation of hardware and software infrastructure updates and improvements as needed and integration with the cloud infrastructure.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower level information technology professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.
- Reviews and conducts cost/benefit evaluation of cloud solutions compared to virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and in-house solutions.
- Determines the technical feasibility of adopting external cloud based IT platform and infrastructure services within the organization.
- Leads the identification of portions of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment.
- Implements the organization's global strategies and initiatives to enhance Information Technology plans, operations and procedures.
Educational Requirements- University (Degree) Preferred

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS or GCP
1+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud automation, configuration management, and deployment of enterprise-scale infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible, and Python.
Excellent understanding and experience with cloud foundational services, Identity & Access Management & cloud governance
Broad experience using languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript and/or node.js
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Cloud Certification or Google Cloud Certification is a plus
Familiarity with cloud adoption framework, well architected framework, account organization and multi-account architecture
Familiarity with principles of network, application, and information security.

Base Pay Range: $117,000/yr - $148,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
