Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mx & Airworthiness Analyst is accountable for the continuous airworthiness of JSSI Parts & Engines lease assets, working under the Mx & Airworthiness Manager to ensure every engine and APU is compliant, documented, and ready to support customer leases. This role owns AD/SB embodiment tracking, pre- and post-rental inspections, work order audits, and Traxxall records, and directs the Philippines-based support team on records and enrollment work. The Analyst combines technical maintenance expertise with data analysis to flag degradation trends early and recommend asset utilization and deployment decisions to Asset Management leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance compliance confirmation
  • Accountable for the maintenance compliance confirmation of lease assets; ensure all required Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins are embodied.
  • Maintain current knowledge of each asset's condition - TSN, TSO, CSN, CSO, green time, LLP status, previous squawks, exceedances, and performance - as the technical reference point for planning and lease decisions.
  • Conduct pre- and post-rental inspections audits and work order audits to confirm assets meet delivery and return standards.
  • Validate vendor documentation for brokered leases prior to client delivery.
  • Provide technical workscope approval and confirmation sign-off on repair orders managed by the Asset Event Manager & Planner.
  • Audit repair order close-out documentation for completeness and accuracy before records are finalized.

Technical Analysis & Records Management
  • Gather, plot, and analyze performance run data to identify trends in performance degradation and flag them early.
  • Review and analyze maintenance data, including inspection results, and recommend actions such as inspection interval reductions.
  • Provide recommendations on asset utilization and deployment to Asset Management leadership.
  • Own logbook and documentation management for lease and acquired assets; consolidate logbooks, inspection history, and performance data for whole asset acquisitions.
  • Enroll assets into Traxxall with full configuration, leveraging Traxxall's platform structure to maintain accurate, real-time maintenance records.
  • Direct and review the Philippines-based support team's records and enrollment work, ensuring accuracy and turnaround meet JPE standards.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination
  • Monitor MRO vendor performance for quality and compliance with JSSI requirements, flagging issues to the Asset Event Manager & Planner and Mx & Airworthiness Manager.
  • Support the Asset Event Manager & Planner across unplanned requirement changes, new leases, and post-lease records - providing airworthiness input to the plan and confirming AvSight and Traxxall are updated with completion and lease status.
  • Keep AvSight and Traxxall current and accurate across all assigned assets, ensuring the broader Asset Management team works from reliable data.
  • Participate in planning reviews with Asset Management leadership, providing technical and airworthiness visibility into fleet condition and risk.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft or engine maintenance, with hands-on exposure to AD/SB compliance, work order management, and logbook review.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret performance and maintenance data and translate it into clear recommendations.
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking and inventory systems; ability to learn proprietary platforms quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience directing or reviewing the work of a remote or outsourced support team.

Preferred
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • Experience with Traxxall, AvSight, or comparable aviation maintenance and inventory platforms.
  • Background in engine or APU maintenance specifically, versus airframe-only experience.
  • Experience managing MRO or vendor performance relationships.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Technical Expertise - deep, hands-on understanding of engine maintenance, airworthiness requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Data Discipline - treats accurate, current Traxxall and AvSight records as a condition of good outcomes, not an afterthought.
  • Analytical Rigor - spots degradation trends and compliance risk in the data before they become field issues.
  • Vendor & Team Oversight - holds MRO vendors and the Philippines-based support team accountable to JSSI standards without requiring escalation.
  • Judgment - knows when to act independently on workscope and compliance decisions versus escalate to the Mx & Airworthiness Manager.

For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
