Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Proficient in factory test methods, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).
• Skilled in product and component failure analysis techniques, including the 7-Step method and fault tree analysis.
• Knowledgeable in managing internal parts lists, Bill of Materials (BOM), product design processes, and change management systems like Windchill.
• Experience in operating product testing and test equipment.
• Familiar with design software tools such as PTC Creo and Spice.
• Capable of reviewing component datasheets and making informed selections, including alternate parts.
• Experience in producing technical documentation like memos and briefs.
• Basic understanding of product qualification in compliance with DO-160 standards.
• Familiarity with hardware design and certification under DO-254 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and field issues related to commercial avionics products.
• Communicate and coordinate with the aircraft OEM to address customer concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the BAE Systems operations team to resolve production challenges.
• Lead engineering investigations using the Engineering 7-Step process.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses of product issues and failures.
• Oversee component obsolescence and FPGA change management processes.
• Assess factory yield to improve production efficiency.
