In this role, you will:
  • Manage system and configuration item requirements within DOORS, deriving requirements from specifications, allocating them to subsystems, and performing impact/traceability analyses.
  • Collaborate closely with system, architecture, design and verification teams to ensure system performance and that requirements are met.
  • Contribute hands-on to system integration, verification and qualification activities.
  • Explore innovative applications of modeling and AI.
  • Throughout the Systems Engineering V-Model, you will work with cross-functional teams - including BAE Systems employees, contractors, and military service customers - to drive innovation and deliver high-quality performance.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field, and 6 to 8+ years of related/relevant work or a Master's Degree and 4 to 6 +years of related/relevant work
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Experience in an electronic lab including the use of commercial test equipment
  • Knowledge of Requirements and their purpose in systems engineering
  • Experience with two or more areas across the product development process
    • Including requirements, test procedure development, system integration and requirement verification and validation
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Currently hold an active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Experienced / trained in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) preferably Cameo/SysML
  • Proven use and understanding of system engineering concepts
  • Experience across the entire product development process
    • Including Architecture, requirements, test procedure development, system integration and requirement verification and validation
  • Experience developing test procedures and troubleshooting in a digital and Radio Frequency (RF) electronics lab environment, and potentially at customer domestic and international sites.
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) training or experience
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy
