OverviewAs our Founding Infra/Backend Engineer, you'll architect the backbone of Spur's core platform-define, build, and scale mission-critical infrastructure powering our agents. You will orchestrate fleets of browsers, emulators, simulators, and agents in the cloud and optimize them at massive scale. You'll work directly with the founders, solve frontier infrastructure problems with real customer impact, and set the gold standard across our stack.
What You'll Do- Build and scale core infrastructure to run and launch thousands of browser and web agents every day.
- Design, implement, and maintain our clusters, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Rapidly iterate with product, engineering, and founders to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Analyze complex customer and product requirements and clearly communicate trade-offs between different technical approaches.
Requirements- Deep expertise in scaling systems and building processes around reliability, observability, and fault-tolerance.
- Excellence in Docker, Kubernetes, Azure (or equivalent), Redis, Terraform, Containerization, AWS, PostGres, and Helm.
- Ability to analyze complex customer and product requirements and clearly communicate trade-offs between different technical approaches.
- Understand how infrastructure decisions directly impact product performance and customer experience.
- 5+ years designing, shipping, and operating at-scale infrastructure.
- High autonomy and demonstrated ability to drive projects independently.
- Ambitious, driven, and passionate about doing great work with great people.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with mobile emulators, Chrome images, or previous DevOps work for testing stacks.
- Proven success building and scaling infrastructure from 0 to 1.
- Experience working with Celery and Prometheus.
Bonus Points- Experience with distributed task queues, performance/scalability optimization.
- Previous experience impacting small teams and scaling infrastructure from 0 to 1.
