Schedule: FT daytime with occasional swing shifts
Located just a few minutes from the beach on Florida's space coast, our veterinary hospital offers specialty referral and 24-hour emergency care. Our team currently includes a board-certified Dentist, 9 Emergency clinicians, and a well-established group of support staff. We're working to continue strengthening our emergency services, expand access to specialty care, and build a hospital culture grounded in clinical excellence, sustainability, and compassion. We are seeking an experienced veterinarian skilled in emergency medicine and inpatient management to join our team with an emphasis on being available for daytime shifts (7a-7p) mostly with occasional 11a-11p coverage. Proficiency in surgery is ideal but not a requirement. The facility includes CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, electrodiagnostics, ventilatory support, physical therapy, and a full in-house laboratory. In your day-to-day, you will: - Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring - DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- 2+ years of emergency experience or internship training
- Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
