Coryell Health is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) - ED Night Shift Team Lead to join our Emergency Department team. This leadership role is responsible for supporting the ED team during the night shift while providing exceptional, safe, and compassionate patient care.

The ED Night Shift Team Lead serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff, helps coordinate patient flow and assignments, and assists with maintaining efficient department operations throughout the shift. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ED nurse who enjoys leading others and making a meaningful difference in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to emergency department patients.
  • Serve as the clinical leader and resource for the ED nursing team during the 7 PM-7 AM shift.
  • Assist with assigning staff and coordinating patient care based on patient needs and staff competencies.
  • Support efficient patient flow and timely delivery of emergency services.
  • Assist nurses and other clinical staff with complex or high-acuity patients.
  • Promote adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, ancillary departments, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Assist with managing unexpected situations, changes in patient condition, and department priorities.
  • Help ensure accurate documentation and effective communication between shifts.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ED staff.
  • Assist with maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and departmental goals.


Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS and PALS certification required or obtainable within required timeframe.
  • Previous Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous charge nurse, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
