Embedded Controls Engineer
The Opportunity: As an engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to advancing technological status for weapons and combat systems. We're looking for an engineer who can use their skills to research and develop hardware and software for an embedded controls project.
You'll impact the DoW by advancing future state-of-the-art personnel and shipboard defense capabilities. This is a chance to use your engineering skills while gaining experience in Directed Energy, embedded control systems, test and evaluation, and applied research. You Have:- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting embedded software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices
- 3+ years of experience optimizing code based on the platform being used
- 3+ years of experience with C++ and Python
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Ability to work on-site up to 5 days a week in indoor labs and outdoor test ranges
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or CS
Nice If You Have:- 3+ years of experience with embedded software and related technologies such as C++ and AMD or Xilinx
- 3+ years of experience with sensor technologies, including trackers, radars, and electro-optical or infrared systems
- Experience with user interface development using Python
- Experience with high power microwave or radio frequency testing
- Experience with Docker containers

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
