The Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) is an independent governmental entity created in 2002 to manage and operate Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP). DTW is one of the largest air transportation hubs in the country, serving more than 30 million passengers annually with nonstop service to more than 140 destinations on four continents. YIP is a general aviation airport serving primarily corporate, cargo and general aviation needs. The WCAA is governed by a seven-member board of directors appointed by the Wayne County Executive and the Wayne County Commission.
