About the RoleThe Business Development Director leads ELV's national growth strategy - recruiting and closing new Alliance members and partnerships across our suite of technology-enabled child care services. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building high-value partnerships, managing a team of Business Development Managers, and serving as an executive spokesperson for ELV on the national stage.
What You'll Do- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Business Development Managers, setting strategy and driving performance
- Develop and execute a national sales and expansion strategy to win new memberships, re-engage lapsed members, and hit aggressive growth targets
- Build and maintain executive-level partnerships with national organizations, government entities, and community agencies
- Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts while overseeing team pipeline, contracting, onboarding, and member retention
- Deliver executive-level presentations (in-person and virtual) and represent ELV at national conferences and industry events
- Project-manage the rollout of new features across the ELV technology suite, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive member adoption
- Oversee Salesforce administration, data analytics, and executive reporting - ROI, forecasting, and operational insights
- Produce thought leadership (blogs, white papers, webinar series) to grow ELV's national visibility
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related master's preferred
- Progressive business development/sales experience with a proven record of exceeding revenue targets
- Minimum 3-5 years managing sales or business development teams
- Extensive Salesforce CRM experience plus strong data analytics and business intelligence skills
- Executive presence and a track record of partnership development at the C-suite level
- Experience designing and executing national market-expansion strategies
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Child Management Systems and GIS/market analysis tools a plus
- Experience in the child care industry or education sector strongly preferred
Compensation- Salary: $95,111-$97,500 annually
