Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to design and develop advanced power supply systems, including AC/DC or AC/AC power supplies, DC/DC regulators, electronic loads and related power electronics products for commercial, industrial, research laboratories and military markets. Responsibilities include design and test of electronic circuits as part of a multi-discipline team for electrical analysis, detailed design, and control. This is a hands-on position that includes both design and project management responsibilities across the entire product development lifecycle of power supplies unipolar ,bidirectional and bipolar 4 quadrant, typically in the 100W to 300 kW power range; 3V to 10kV voltage range using a combination of linear ,switching power topologies, controlled analog or digital (DSP/MCU) ,devise their control loops , hot-swap and supervising circuits .

Key Responsibilities
• Power Supply Design & Development: Design and develop electronics circuits including Design Analysis, Schematic Capture and PCB design. Researches, develops, design, directs fabrication and testing of power supplies, special assemblies and loads.
• Benchmark Breadboard & Testing: Perform benchmark on similar designs, build and troubleshoot breadboard concept and prototype. Record, analyze, and interpret test data, making necessary product modifications and conducting retests.
• Design Validation & Testing: Generate test plan and fixture. Produce test procedures and help with providing specifications for design and validation /verification reports
• Collaboration & Innovation: Collaborate with firmware and embedded engineers to drive innovation for analog electrical design integrated DSP/MCU digital control systems. SMPS and latest materials innovation (Sic, Gan) in SMPS/PS.
  • Technology Roadmap Contribution: Create Analog electrical design solutions and technical support to a variety of novel and complex projects throughout life cycle stages.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define the best power supply topology, resolve technical issues that arise in the supply chain.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures, writing reports, give design review preparation and presentations.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CE, ISO), EMI/EMC or Mil-Std requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in power electronics design and validation. With at least 3+ years in developing power supplies. Experience with bidirectional, four quadrant power supply and recuperating energy is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in designing analog circuits and familiarity with digital electronics applied to power supplies control, hot-swap circuitry, and PDN design.
    • Experience with low voltage and high current power subsystems using DSP (e.g., MCU, SoC, ASIC, FPGA).

o Thorough understanding of power conversion principles (rectification, inversion, regulation, etc.) and basic converter topologies (buck, boost, fly back, etc.)
    • Demonstrated experience designing power electronics or power supply design and its associated topologies preferred. Knowledge of operational, instrumentation and power amplifiers.

o Hands-on experience (design verification, troubleshooting and bench work)

o The position requires technical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal initiative, ability to multitask, energy and enthusiasm, passion for analog electronics
• Tools & Simulation:
