Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be supporting the Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/WAG) at Tinker AFB, OK.
AFLCMC/WAG develops, tests, and rapidly fields classified USAF aeronautical capabilities. Executing a significant budget, the AFLCMC/WAG conducts studies to identify new capabilities; transitions laboratory technologies to operational platforms; executes demonstrations; and develops, tests, rapidly fields, sustains, and demilitarizes capabilities for the warfighter.

- Perform duties in research, development, testing, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of electrical devices/systems on new and/or existing aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics.
- Serve as the technical expert for the organization and provide advice/assistance to leadership on problems, issues, and projects as they relate to sustaining engineering.
- Develop and review the overall system electrical/electronic design baseline's architecture and interoperability requirements.
- Translate user requirements into system requirements, which are used to design, develop, test, and evaluate software, electrical and electronics for systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, sustainment and verification of systems, software, and equipment; demonstrate familiarity with USAF engineering processes and V diagram.
- Evaluate system test plans and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing.
- Demonstrate experience with USAF technical orders and depot/field engineering support.
- Provide electronics engineering support during root cause analyses for assigned programs and demonstrate familiarity with the USAF eight step process.
- Read and generate changes to electrical and electronic drawings and mechanical drawings.
- Interpret computer aided design software for mechanical and electrical systems and model-based design concepts.
- Develop technical papers/presentations, and clearly communicate concepts to program team.
- Support development and review of the full range of program and contract documentation.
- Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
- Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active DoW Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and access to Special Access Program (SAP) and have a background investigation current within the past 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited program with a minimum of 12 years experience in an engineering position with the DoD, other government agency, or DoD contractor.
- OR a Masters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited program and a minimum of 10 years experience in an engineering position with the DoD, other government agency, or DoD contractor.
- Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience within the last 8 years.
- The ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Familiar with basics of electrical and electronic circuits, Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standard communication circuits, radar, electro-mechanical interface design, software control of electronic circuits.
- Familiar with analog to digital and digital to analog interfaces, electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic compatibility, circuit analysis, and safety of flight requirements in electrical and electronic circuitry.
- DoD acquisition program office experience focused on airborne weapon system sustainment.
- Experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment.
