The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS)
Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program's two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The candidate selected for this position will be assigned to the Electrical Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Assist in the sustainment and operations of the Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter Detection System, Operational and Security Closed Circuit Video Systems, Video Walls, Monitors and displays, computers and networks.
• Configure, document, and troubleshoot IP Networks & VMware environments.
• Apply cybersecurity fundamentals to networking equipment, including hardening, analysis, vulnerability management.
• Interface and brief engineering efforts to Lockheed leadership, U.S. Government, and Satellite Vehicle Contractor personnel.
• Perform final inspection and develop corrective actions for non-conformance items.
• Gather and review data concerning systems and equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date, and solution feasibility.
• Monitor and report progress of several concurrent projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited college
• US Citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance and CI Poly
• Holds CompTIA's Security+ certification or higher.
• Must be able to accommodate occasional travel as needed.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be detail oriented.
Desired Skills
• Operating systems, Windows Client/Server, VMware virtual environment (vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi) Storage Area Networks and SQL Server.
• Experience in operation and configuration of IT/IP-based systems such as electronic security systems, perimeter detection systems, CCTV cameras.
• Networking experience using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and Identity Services Engine.
• Holds Level 1 - AC9001 - C-CURE 9000 Installer Maintainer Certification.
• Holds Level 2 - AC9005 - C-CURE 9000 Advanced Integrator Certification.
• Holds Level 3 - AC9444 - C-CURE 9000 Enterprise Architecture Certification.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
