Job Description

Nidec Motor Corporation in Rancho Cordova, CA has one open position for electronic sustainment engineer within the Research and Development Department.

Job Descriptions:

  • Supporting the existing elevator products
  • Working with design and development engineers, Quality engineers and other department resources to resolve field and production/vendors’ issues
  • Write ECO, and process Cross Approvals for End-of-Life components
  • Has capacity to redesign, test and debug electronic circuitry
  • Review changes and approve PCB on the existing products layout
  • Perform root cause analysis to improve design
  • Write Reports, test’s and executes test plans
  • Reports to the Quality and Sustainment Manager

Skills:

  • B.S degree in electronic engineering, and min of 5 years’ experience in the engineering field or A.S degree in electronic engineering in a combined of min 9 years’ experience in the engineering field.
  • Experienced with PCB design tools such as PCAD, Altium, AutoCAD
  • Know how to use test equipment such as oscilloscope, DVM, Logic analyzers…
  • Analytical skills in solving electronic problems/issues.
  • Understand analog/digital/embedded designs and familiar with VHDL is a plus
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in verbal and written form
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member in large group across full functional team including suppliers, customers and associates
