Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of dynamic engineers, you will serve as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for the New Glenn actuation system. In this role, you will lead the system integration, test planning, and system analysis for the end-to-end actuation system, including its interaction with vehicle power and software systems. You willbe responsible forthe technical coordination between multiple teams including Avionics, Guidance & Control,Actuator Component Design, andVehicle Operationsto ensure the successful development and integration of all systems. This is a system-level role that requires a broad technical background to manage the electronic, software, and mechanical aspects of the system.

We are looking for someone to apply their technicalexpertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positivelyimpactsafe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for the end-to-end actuation system development, integration, and verification.

  • Lead integrated system performance analysis, including developing andmaintainingmodels for the power system and maintainingsystem-level power budgets.

  • Serve as the primary technical interface between G&C, Avionics,ComponentDesign Teams, Systems Engineering, and Test and Flight Operations to establishand verify system-level requirements.

  • Own Integrated Vehicle Test (IVT) requirements, planning, and acceptance criteria for all actuated systems.

  • Conduct system-level design trades, architecture studies, and fault tolerance analysis for the electrical power system, distribution topology, and mechanical components.

  • Coordinate schedules and technical plans across contributing organizations to drive the project to meet key commitments.

  • Drive design-to-cost initiatives, technology insertion opportunities, and technical excellence within the electromechanical systems engineering discipline.
