Electrical Test Engineer **Relocation Bonus Available**

Test Engineers at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division QualTech NP Cincinnati location are experienced Engineers who lead the development and execution of test strategies to validate a wide range of electrical and electromechanical components and systems integral to the safety of nuclear power plants.  As a Test Engineer working in our Commercial Grade Dedication group, you will be responsible for the performance of complex, highly technical projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. 

Location: Cincinnati, OH (onsite)

Salary Information:$80,000 - 125,000 per year, plus bonus

Your Challenge:

  • Review and understand a wide variety of large and complex cusomter purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into design, procurement, qualification and testing documents.

  • Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirement, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations.  Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems. Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.

  • Facilitate factory acceptance tests, document and evaluate results of a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical components and systems.

  • Generates final reports and quality data packages verifying acceptance of the items or systems.

  • Evaluates failures and establishes recommended corrective actions.

  • Interacts and collaborates with interdepartmental teams to support successful completion of the work, including:

    • Technical input and review of customer proposals with sales team

    • Establishment of parameters and criteria for procurement team

    • Hands on support and troubleshooting of testing activities with test technicians

    • Assist and mentor lower level engineers

    • Resolution of comments from Quality Assurance reviews and inspections

  • Initiaties and supports innovative ideas to continually improve processes, resources and opportunities within the organization to drive growth and profitability.

  • Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives including safety, quality, and customer schedule.

  • Maintain effective customer and vendor communications, ensuring that all requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.

  • Provide technical input on the generation of proposals for programs.

  • Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.

What You Bring:

  • Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience in a testing environment. A highly regulated industry, such as nuclear preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge and fundamental understanding of a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
