Job Description
Electrical PCB Engineer will develop intricate printed circuit board layouts. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, creating schematics, circuit board layouts and optimizing designs for manufacturing and testing.
Work with electronic engineers and embedded engineers to create circuit designs and board layouts to meet platform deliverables within product development phases.
Identify the risks, mitigations, and contingency plans for new features.
Work closely with Applied Materials business units, tool owners, and other technical support groups in cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex electrical problems with limited to no supervision.
• Specify the development of design or modify engineering assemblies, layout/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projects.
• Specify and/or perform engineering ECAD design of complex scope.
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports as required.

Position requirements.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent desired.
• Experience with Altium software for PCB/PCBA design with input from mechanical and electrical teams.
• Create and modify schematics as directed by engineers.
• Generate library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for components.
• Investigate and implement PCB design trends and processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies for packaging, cost, and system performance.
• Perform complex CAD and CAE tasks, ensuring compliance with design standards.
• Propose design trade-offs for resolution and implementation.
• Communicate with fabrication vendors and address engineering questions.
• Prioritize quality design and observe design for test and manufacturability principles.
• Understand impedance control requirements for electrical and RF circuits.
• Stay updated on PCB technology trends and apply them to our designs.
• Collaborate with various teams during the design and fabrication process.
• Resolve PCB design issues with vendors.
• Contribute to PCB design specifications and standards for product quality and cost-efficiency.
• Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processes.
• A nature of staying focused on solutions and ability to remain positive even under pressure.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the program goals.

Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Altium, or Mentor PCB Design software.
• Familiarity with Mechanical CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PCB design best practices and standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in RF Circuit PCB design is preferred.
• Experience using Altium PCB Design software
