ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATIONENGINEER

Annual Salary Range: $ 85,000 – $125,000; Target Bonus: 10%

(one existing vacancy)

Reporting to the Assistant Maintenance & Engineering Manager your role will be to:

  • Provide electrical and instrumentation design engineering support to the Power and Recovery and Fibreline areas of the Mill. 
  • Direct a variety of capital and maintenance projects from conceptual design to operating installation.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, budgets for new projects, prepare project approval documents, and project bid packages.
  • Manage installation of capital and maintenance/repair projects in compliance with all company safety, environmental, and financial policies.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule maintenance, engineering, procurement, construction, and repair activities.

Your Profile:

  • Electrical Engineering degree required, with eligibility for PEO certification.
  • Experience in a pulp mill and/or other industrial environments is an asset.
  • You will have proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You possess sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • You have the ability to co-ordinate maintenance, engineering, and repair activities.
  • You have a safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • You must have very good oral and written communication abilities, including technical writing, budget preparation and presentations.
  • You possess excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software (SAP), MS Office and scheduling software. The ability to utilize AutoCAD and/or experience in working with PLC controls is an asset. 
  • You can accurately schedule and estimate jobs and projects.
