Lead and manage the Electrical Design team, providing technical guidance and support.
Oversee the design and development of electrical schematics, General Arrangements (GA), and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for client products including LVSG, DataBar, RPPs, and PDUs.
Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable UL industry standards and regional regulations.
Maintain Electrical Design CAD blocks and libraries to ensure design compliance and consistency.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise to project teams.
Review schematics, GA drawings, and BOMs against quotes to ensure engineering accuracy.
Collaborate with Quality and Engineering Systems teams to improve engineering best practices.
Provide technical support to Technical, Mechanical, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
Maintain accurate and complete design records in accordance with document control procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering organization.
Promote proactive risk identification, mitigation, and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and manage project opportunities and issues.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Ensure work is performed according to the client's Quality Management System.
Resolve technical queries both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
4-year Engineering degree required.
Relevant engineering qualification such as BEng, MEng, or CEng preferred, or comparable industrial experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Electrical Design / Electrical Engineering.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical design and engineering principles.
Technical Skills:
AutoCAD Electrical experience required; EPLAN experience is advantageous.
Knowledge of LV Distribution Systems.
Experience with PLC and Interlocking systems.
Knowledge of small power and lighting systems.
Knowledge of AC/DC power supplies.
Knowledge of earthing systems.
Ability to read and interpret product standards, customer specifications, electrical single-line diagrams, and schematics.
Knowledge of PLM tools, such as Autodesk Vault, is advantageous.
Previous experience with recognized ERP tools is advantageous.
Strong understanding of electrical design documentation and engineering standards.
