Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer Production Liason for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB). The CHGB is the Army’s #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires and will counter and gain a lead on our adversaries' technological advances in this field, come join us in this exciting, cutting-edge field.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with the Engineering Team to ensure designs are producible, manufacturable, and aligned with manufacturing facility capabilities and constraints
- Resolves technical issues arising during assembly, integration, or test in a timely manner
- Evaluates how engineering changes affect manufacturing schedules, tooling, processes, and costs
- Troubleshoots floor build issues, recommends rework solutions, and escalates critical problems
- Conducts non-conformance investigations
- Prepares/co-authors engineering documentation (MRB dispositions, rework instructions, redline drawings)
- Interfaces with engineering, QA, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure alignment
- Identifies and drives continuous improvements in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), production yield, and operational throughput
Basic Qualifications:
- A BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 4+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) or a MS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support for system-level integration
- Must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and test methods including the use of Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.
- Knowledge of test procedure development
- Experience processing post test data
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with test, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Experience with manufacturing and production of avionics components
- Knowledge of test development to support troubleshooting hardware failures
- Knowledge of National Instruments Software
- Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment
- Experience supporting DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or hypersonic technologies
- Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.
- Experience supporting rapid development, prototyping, or fast-paced engineering programs.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
