Role:As a Lifecycle Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and improving the world's most capable ground segment network. You will own the designs of deployed modules and circuitry spanning RF, power, and high-speed digital electronics. You will drive investigations into fielded systems and develop component and subsystem updates to fielded designs.
Responsibilities:- Own electronics systems deployed in Prism systems from cradle to grave, spanning RF, power, and high-speed digital electronics
- Observe performance and degradation of electronics deployed on Prism systems
- Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions on in factory and deployed ground station
- Provide design and analysis inputs to drive reliable design, test, and qualification campaigns
- Drive design improvements to modules, from design to schematic capture to layout, manufacture, and deployment
- Test prototypes and assess performance in the lab and in the field
- Work with production teams to make testable and manufacturable products that we can integrate in-house
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or a related field
- 2-4+ years of professional experience in electrical design
- Experience with end-to-end board design, from architecture and component selection through schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, debug, and production
- Hands-on experience debugging complex hardware systems using advanced lab instrumentation and driving root-cause analysis across board and system levels
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience driving root cause and corrective action campaigns with thorough and systemic processes: fish bone, 5 Whys, etc.
- Hands-on project team experience (Formula SAE, rocketry, CubeSat, etc.)
- Deep understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, PCB stack-up definition, and high-performance board layout practices
- RF design or test experience with LNAs, power amplifiers, filters, or up/down converters (gain, noise figure, compression, spurious)
- High-speed digital design experience with FPGAs, SerDes, data converters, or 10/100G Ethernet, including signal and power integrity analysis
- Power electronics design experience, such as DC-DC converters, sequencing, and protection circuits
- Experience with troubleshooting EMI/EMC, either conducted or radiated
- Experience with mixed-signal electronics design and complex multilayer PCBs, including stack-up definition and material selection
Compensation: Electrical Engineer/Level 1: $100,000-$110,000 per year
Electrical Engineer/Level 2: $104,000-$130,000 per year
