Full Job Description
Position Overview:

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in consulting engineering. The position is responsible for designing the Electrical and Information and Communications Technology Systems, including power distribution, back-up power systems, lighting and lighting controls, renewable energy and battery storage systems, data networks, nurse call, audio visual systems, DAS, electronic safety & security systems, and more all for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers on some of the most challenging and complex projects in our industry and be an important part of our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who thrives on helping our team and clients be successful while having a strong technical background. This position will be located onsite in our Minneapolis office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
  • Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements
  • Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
  • Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience with MEP design with a focus on technology systems
  • FE registration is preferred with potential for PE
  • RCDD is a plus
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
