POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer position will be responsible for designing electrical control panels that meet UL508a standards and responsible for all electrical engineering projects. This engineer will need to possess the technical and managerial skills to start a UL508a panel shop that operates efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the engineer will support maintenance and troubleshooting of machines used in manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Design and build electrical control panels that comply with UL508a standards, including wiring schematics, panel layouts, field wiring charts, etc.
- Devise methods, procedures, and tooling to improve manufacturing capabilities
- Assist with maintenance and updates of control software for Kelvion US HVAC/R controllers (Carelc.pCO)
- Document changes in the process by updating work instructions, drawings, wiring schematics, other documents as needed and follow any required business change process
- Develop and document procedures related to UL508a panel design, manufacture, testing, installation, end use, and service technician troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot issues with manufacturing processes & machines, establish root cause (RC), determine corrective actions (CA), implement CA, verify CA and RC is resolved
- Create or Update Fault trees, Fishbones, FBD, PFD, DFMEAs, and PFMEAs
- Ability to work with production staff, other engineers, quality, and other groups to solve problems
- Take lead in seeking out action items to improve the manufacturing process
- Programming and troubleshooting PLC's
- Provide technical support to customers and other internal teams
- Research andadviseon multiple areas of discipline, including but not limitedto:electrical engineering, controls, PLCs, or any other field included within the manufacturing process
- Follow priorities and check with manager for other instructions
- Lead multiple projects at a time

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant field from an accredited program (Associate's Degreewith 10 years of experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical panel design and construction, with at least 2 years in UL508a
- In-depth knowledge of UL508a standards and regulations
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software for electrical design and layout
- Experience with PLC controlled systems
