Title:
Electrical Engineer
KBR is seeking an Electronics Engineer to support Department of the Navy (DON) C5ISR programs through the research, design, development, integration, installation, and testing of advanced electronic and communications systems. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to develop and evaluate digital and RF electronic systems while supporting system integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle sustainment for mission-critical capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technologies in support of fleet modernization and operational readiness while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, analyze, and test electronic components, circuits, and systems supporting Department of the Navy C5ISR programs.
- Design and evaluate digital and Radio Frequency (RF) electronic circuits and communication systems for military applications.
- Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system integration, installation, verification, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
- Perform testing, evaluation, and technical analysis of communications systems to ensure compliance with program requirements and operational performance standards.
- Interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and installation documentation to support engineering, installation, and maintenance activities.
- Develop engineering documentation including technical reports, test procedures, installation packages, and system configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, logistics, and program teams to resolve technical issues and support system lifecycle activities.
- Provide technical support during laboratory, shipboard, or field installations, system upgrades, and acceptance testing.
Basic Qualifications
- Clearance & Citizenship: Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another accredited engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2+ years of engineering experience, including at least one (1) year supporting Department of the Navy (DON) C5ISR systems.
- Demonstrated experience with digital circuit design, systems engineering, system integration, installation, Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, electronic/electrical engineering, or testing of electronic equipment and communication systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical/installation drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AN/SRQ-4 radio terminals, including installation, integration, testing, troubleshooting, or sustainment.
- Familiarity with Navy tactical communications systems, C5ISR architectures, and defense communication networks.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition, integration, test, or fielding programs.
- Knowledge of military standards, engineering documentation, and configuration management processes.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $90,000-113,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
