Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Eight (8) years of experience in facility electrical engineering design.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Proficient in using REVIT/AutoCAD.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical regulatory codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEE.
• Experience using electrical calculation tools, including lighting and power software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for facilities, including projects for Sandia National Lab and private clients.
• Provide detailed designs for various electrical systems, including power distribution and emergency power generation.
• Prepare supporting documentation such as calculations and specifications.
• Meet with clients to validate project scope and requirements.
• Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure accuracy and adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage local team activities.
