Job Overview

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs), you'll be at the heart of our product development process. Your designs will become the backbone of systems that must perform without fail• whether in the depths of space, the heat of a jet engine, or the precision of a medical device. You won't just be designing boards• you'll be shaping the performance, reliability, and future of our technology.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the design and development of CCAs and PWBs from concept through production release.
  • Create detailed schematics, layouts, and documentation using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics).
  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets.
  • Perform component selection, signal integrity analysis, and power distribution design for high-reliability applications.
  • Oversee prototype builds, conduct design reviews, and support troubleshooting during integration and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC standards, EMI/EMC requirements, and applicable military or aerospace specifications.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience designing CCAs and PWBs for high-reliability or mission-critical systems.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Mentor Xpedition.
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, grounding, and power distribution best practices.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT).
  • Familiarity with IPC-2221/2222 standards and MIL-STD design requirements.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in circuit design and power electronics, including switch-mode power supply design, battery systems, and Li-Po battery management
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, LTSpice) and hands-on lab testing/troubleshooting with oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipment
  • Experience implementing microcontrollers and communication protocols such as serial, RS232/485, I2C, SPI, and Ethernet
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronics (e.g., PCB fabrication, soldering, assembly)
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques for circuits and systems

How You Will Be Rewarded

The salary range for this role is $107,000 - $135,000.00 per year.
