Role PurposeThe Electrical Engineer provides electrical engineering expertise to support manufacturing operations, process improvements, equipment development, automation initiatives, and capital projects. Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems to improve safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost performance. Write and validate code and utilize machine software to prepare CNC fabrication equipment for production.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Write code for CNC machining processes.
- Operate nesting software for laser cutting process.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, equipment specification, installation, startup, and validation.
- Support PLC, HMI, robotics, motion control, and data acquisition systems.
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase reliability, quality, and operating efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and project teams to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for manufacturing applications.
Desired Skills:- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar design software.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent automation platforms.
- Experience with JETCAM, Mastercam, PolyWorks, G-code
- Excellent communication and technical documentation abilities.
Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, instrumentation, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial networking preferred.
Hours of work/work schedule- 40 hours+ M-F
- Potential for adjusted hours, evening meetings, and weekends may be required
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $68,301.00 - $93,914.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
