Position Summary:
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing electrical construction projects on commercial job sites from project beginning through completion. This role coordinates project schedules, manpower, materials, and communication between field teams, general contractors, clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact throughout the project and works closely with Superintendents, Foremen, engineers, and office staff to ensure successful project completion in accordance with project specifications, electrical codes, and company standards and values.
Main Responsibilities:- Project Planning
- Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Develop project schedules and budgets
- Plan labor, materials, and equipment needs alongside project Superintendent
- Team & Contractor Management
- Work and coordinate with Project Superintendents, Foremen, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and architects
- Assign tasks and monitor progress on the job site
- Budget & Cost Management
- Track project costs and manage budgets
- Approve and review material purchases and change orders
- Work with estimators to control project profitability
- Scheduling & Deadlines
- Ensure project milestones are met
- Adjust schedules to resolve delays or conflicts
- Client Communication
- Provide updates to clients and stakeholders
- Resolve project issues and coordinate solutions alongside Project Superintendent
