Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Unit ManagerPosition Overview:This position leads the E&I team to support the plant in ownership of electrical systems, standby diesels, PLC systems, electrical design & construction, and electrical safety. The E&I Managers is a working position.
Location:On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Unit Manager- Proven ability to manage an engineering and design team, including project management.
- Coordinate the adherence of NFPA 70e standards for the facility.
- Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers.
- Assist with identifying and ordering spare parts, preventative and predictive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Apply technical and quality related engineering principles towards design of electrical, I&C, digital I&C, data acquisition and automation systems.
- Proficiency with standard design processes used by the nuclear industry, engineering design change packages.
- Knowledge of security systems for CAT 1 and 2 nuclear facilities.
- Proficiency in development of instrument set point calculations system response time analysis and FMEA.
- Experience with root cause investigations a plus.
- Experience managing budgets and schedules.
Required Qualifications:B. S. -- Engineering
P.E electrical preferred.
Nine - Ten years' relevant experience required with demonstrated leadership and management experience.
Pay: $115,000 - $180,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $180,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
