The Opportunity

JBT Marel is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in US - Sabetha, KS. The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager responsible for overseeing all site-level programs related to environmental, safety and health compliance. This role manages daily EHS operations while ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, insurance, and corporate requirements. The EHS Manager leads the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, training, permitting, and record keeping to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The role drives key EHS initiatives for the business unit, aligning efforts with company objectives and supporting ongoing performance improvements. EHS manager is required to maintain regulatory compliance and our right to operate

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management
  • You will ensure site compliance with all company policies and federal/state OSHA requirements
  • You will conduct and oversee safety inspections, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs) and hazard assessments
  • Review and maintain incident reports, inspection findings, OSHA logs and other safety documentation
  • Investigate injuries, near misses, property damage and liability incidents; prepare required reports and support insurance or legal reviews as needed
  • Develop, deliver, and track safety training programs
  • Maintain and monitor safety-related KPIs; provide visibility to the site and lead initiatives to improve performance
  • Ensure project safety reviews are completed for all site capital projects and support compliance planning for new initiatives
  • Oversee safety-related documentation such as SDS files and ensure proper distribution and accessibility
  • Lead emergency response planning, drills and employee preparedness activities
  • Manage EHS requirements for contractors and customers, including pre-work evaluations undefined Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and company standards including EPA, permitting, reporting and record-keeping requirements
  • Manage environmental training programs and ensure completion by required personnel
  • Maintain corporate sustainability and environmental metrics
  • Support ongoing implementation of updated environmental and global regulatory standards
  • Partner with corporate teams and support environmental audits
  • Partner with site management to build a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and security awareness
  • Lead EHS initiatives for the business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including operations, field services, corporate staff and regulatory bodies to drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead sustainability initiatives and support customer-driven environmental or safety requirements undefined

Travel & Location
  • You will work onsite in Sabetha, KS and travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications
  • 5 plus years of progressive leadership experience in Environmental, Health and Safety management.
  • CSP certification is a great to have
  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS or technical fields, or equivalent experience in industry.
