Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an EH&S Manager to join our Flex team located in US Utah Salt Lake City.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Corporate EHS, the EH&S Manager will be In charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
  • Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
  • Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
  • Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
  • Administers workers compensation, OSHA 300 log and return to work program.


The experience we're looking to add to our team,
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
  • 7 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word.)
  • Documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Supervisor previous experience
  • Experience working with more than one operation

  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Safety Certifications.
  • Specific program experience i.e. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Safety, Risk Assessments (JHA, JSA, RA), Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Arial Work Platforms (AWP), Hearing Conservation, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis (Fishbone, 5-Why)
  • ISO14001, 45001
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) greenfield process
