EHS Manager at Ditch Witch:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for providing daily direction, developing, planning, and coordinating activities within the framework of The Toro Company EHS Program. The EHS Manager must be skilled in interpreting, communicating, and complying with regulations that apply across business operations. Exhibits exceptional leadership skills and being able to work across functional boundaries to achieve a zero-harm culture. This role will have site EHS Program responsibility at the Perry, OK campus.
What Will You Do?
Partner with site leadership to promote safety, health, and environmental excellence.
Implement and standardize Toro’s Safety Management System across the region.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements.
Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and injury elimination efforts.
Oversee regulatory programs (e.g., machine guarding, PPE, environmental compliance).
Identify EHS training needs to ensure compliance, understanding, and performance improvement.
Establish and track EHS goals, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct facility audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Support incident investigations and implement effective corrective measures.
Manage regulatory inspections and related documentation.
Collaborate with engineering and operations on equipment, facilities, and capital projects.
Build relationships with internal teams, vendors, insurers, and regulatory agencies.
Promote ergonomic, wellness, and injury prevention programs.
What Do You Need?
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
3+ years leading and building comprehensive safety programs with evidence of continuous improvement.
Applicable EHS certificate preferred (i.e. CSP, CIH, OHST). Must have the ability to obtain a professional certification within 3 years after starting in the EHS Manager role.
Strong manufacturing business acumen with familiarity in manufacturing and material handling preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both formal and informal, at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, negotiating, presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees.
Ability to conceive, develop, and execute EHS related projects within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on health and safety training.
Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive health and safety incident prevention programs.
Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
Regular, continuous use of a computer.
Office environment with periodic trips to the shop areas and occasional work outdoors. The shop environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery. Outdoor work may include observing or operating equipment at test fields or construction sites, in all kinds of weather conditions.
Rapidly changing workloads, priorities, and deadlines.

Regular use of personal protective equipment.
Infrequent travel; up to 10% by automobile and air.

Competitive Salary– A reasonable pay range for this opportunity is $96,400-$120,000. The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
