Full Job Description
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS-Facilities Manager . This role is based out of our Olean, NY location (Relocation is offered)

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:

This position leads the management of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) processes as well as the facilities activities at Eaton's Olean, NY manufacturing sites. The EHS-Facilities manager supports the creation of a strong culture that engages employees in the achievement of the company's goal of zero EHS incidents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manages and directs site in achieving EHS and site Security targets & objectives. Manages facilities activities including capital and expense associated with the site.
• Assign and support MESH (Management of Environment Safety & Health) element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements
• Create and maintain training matrices to ensure all training is defined and tracked to completion
• Work with site leadership team to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS and facilities' action items are resolved on a timely basis
• Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS Federal, State, and local regulations
• Directs development, facilitates, and ensures achievement of goals in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
• Lead and/or participate in the investigation of employee concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations/Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation and follow-up
• Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management, and maintain and post site EHS roadmap including action plans and key initiatives
• Oversight of Security contract and contractors and involvement in security related events. Participate in monthly security inspections following MESH security requirements. Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS and Security programs; determine the need for any additional programs; develop and implement additional programs as needed or dictated by division and corporate management.
• Actively involved and lead the Safety Committee; evaluate recommendations; develop and implement corrective actions
• Maintain system to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal including monthly waste, water, and GHG related metrics
• Assure compliance to environmental regulatory requirements such as SPCCPs, SWPPP, Tier II reporting, SARA 313 reporting, biennial waste reporting and all environmental regulatory permits
• Assures compliance to all OSHA regulatory standards which include but are not limited to industrial hygiene, energy control (LOTO), NFPA 70e, confined space entry, fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial trucks, hot work and contractor safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience
  • Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Candidates that currently reside or are willing to relocate within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Olean, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
    • Master's degree in EHS or related field from an accredited institution
    • Experience in manufacturing environment (with robotics/automation a plus)
    • Experience in managing facilities
    • Leadership experience in high accountability culture and metrics driven environment
    • Experience with waste water treatment operations sampling protocols and permit compliance
    • Project Management Experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum 1 year of experience managing people
