Job Description:
Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled eDiscovery Forensic Consultant with a foundational understanding of corporate IT systems and eDiscovery to support litigation matters and compliance investigations. This role focuses on the collection and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) from corporate systems including Microsoft Office 365, Purview, Relativity, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange email. Collect data from network shares using forensic applications such as FTK or others. Responsible for providing technology-related litigation support services to attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with secure transfer protocols, network share collections, custodial interviews, and is comfortable working in a remote environment, as well as in teams.

This role will require being in office 3 days a week in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute defensible collections of ESI from Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Collect data from network shares using FTP and other secure protocols.
  • Collaborate with attorneys/paralegals in maintaining legal hold management system.
  • Conduct custodial interviews to identify relevant data sources and timelines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Purview and Relativity for search, collection, and processing of data.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Store collected data securely on designated servers and ensure proper access controls.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of experience in eDiscovery or digital forensics.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem, especially Purview and Exchange.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including Attorneys, Paralegals and technical support personnel.
  • Direct experience with Relativity or similar review platforms.
  • Experienced with SFTP (secure data transfer protocols).
  • Familiarity with corporate data networks and file share structures.
  • Skilled in analyzing network share data with forensic tools like FTK.
  • Excellent communication skills collaborating with attorneys and custodians.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CEDS or similar.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Understanding imaging from Encase, Falcon.
  • Knowledge of legal hold processes and compliance frameworks of eDiscovery.
  • Knowledge of legal hold systems such as Exterro or similar.
  • IT background pertaining to corporate email/data/network systems.

The Compensation range for this role is 95,000 to 110,000 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
