Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an integral part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay. Their dedicated efforts ensure that we deliver cutting-edge entertainment experiences that captivate and inspire players and fans globally.

EA Vancouver is looking for a Quality Designer to join the EA Sports FC Companion App Quality Verification team. This is an opportunity to lead the strategic quality practices for our mobile & web companion app, and deliver the best experience to our players.

Location - Vancouver (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
  • You will own end-to-end quality strategy for mobile and web.
  • Using an experimental mindset, collaborate to create solutions to quality problems.
  • Analyse and compile data points spanning multiple sources, and use them to build strategies to improve overall player experience
  • Be a mentor for others, assisting with and growing their knowledge.
  • You will promote a "Player First" approach and advocate for the player in everything we do to help us achieve a quality experience for our players.
  • You will partner with senior members of the development, production, and design teams to develop a quality player experience.


Requirements

  • Experience leading mobile game play testing.
  • Experience playing FC, including the Companion App.
  • You have 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Foundation in machine learning/AI concepts and evaluation.
  • Experience with bug prevention and containment strategies.
  • Experience working within a continuous delivery model.
  • Experience working with React Native a plus.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
