Position SummaryThe Dual Assistant General Manager supports the successful operation of two hotel properties by partnering with the General Manager to lead daily operations, deliver outstanding guest service, and develop an engaged team. This role helps ensure operational excellence, brand compliance, financial performance, and a positive workplace culture while serving as the acting General Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day operations of two hotel properties.
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members while promoting a culture of accountability and exceptional guest service.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retaining hotel associates.
- Conduct brand-specific, operational, and safety training for team members.
- Monitor employee performance and assist with coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and standard operating procedures.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction scores.
- Maintain accurate operational and financial records, including cash handling, billing, and reporting.
- Assist with scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and labor management.
- Support local sales initiatives, revenue opportunities, and marketing efforts.
- Conduct and participate in regular team meetings.
- Perform the duties of the General Manager during their absence.
- Provide leadership support across all hotel departments as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- One (1) year or more of hotel leadership experience preferred, ideally in a Select Service or Extended Stay environment.
- Food and Beverage Experience in a similar hotel outlet is preferred.
- Previous Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar supervisory experience preferred.
- Brand experience with major hotel franchises is preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and labor management.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between assigned hotel locations.
- Associate degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
