.NET Developer Power BI
Job Summary
The .NET Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, maintaining, and enhancing .NET applications owned by the Application Team. The role includes production support, application development, database optimization, API development, and Power BI report development. The developer will collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and other Application Development Team members to ensure application designs and code meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain .NET web applications using ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET MVC.
• Implement data access layers using Entity Framework Core and established development best practices.
• Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and console applications.
• Implement responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript frameworks.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to development best practices.
• Design and maintain SQL Server databases for optimal performance.
• Manage database schema changes and migrations using Entity Framework Core Code-First or Database-First approaches.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Develop and optimize Entity Framework Core LINQ queries and database operations.
• Optimize query performance and troubleshoot database issues.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy and optimize report performance.
• Use modern development, database, business intelligence, and testing tools, including Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Postman, and similar technologies.
• Support application maintenance, production incidents, enhancements, and ongoing development activities.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience in .NET development, including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
• 3+ years of experience with Entity Framework using Database-First or Code-First approaches, or other ORM tools.
• 3+ years of SQL Server experience, including database design, SQL and T-SQL querying, and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of JavaScript experience, with hands-on experience in at least 2 frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or jQuery.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years of experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience developing Power BI reports and data visualizations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Full-time professional experience in the development and support of IT applications.
• Successful completion of an IT certification program, accredited college program, or graduate training may substitute for the required work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure environment services.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
