Pay Range: $131,200.00 - $170,700.00 per year

Dosimetrist - RWJBarnabas Health

A typical day for a Dosimetrist may include:
  • Knowledgeable application of treatment planning process on the 3D, IMRT, proton, SBRT planning techniques
  • Quality Assurance of treatment planning system .
  • Manual second calculation checks.
  • Weekly chart rounds and planning rounds Quality Assurance.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the department are implemented in accordance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Utilizing sound judgement and independent thinking to handle complex and crisis situations.

To be considered for this Dosimetrist opportunity, you must:
  • Baccalaureate degree preferred with emphasis in the sciences.
  • Two years-practical hospitals experience necessary with current Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
  • Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board: Certified Medical Dosimetrist or board eligible.
  • Computer background, office routine familiarity and strong knowledge of anatomy from various imaging modalities, and medical terminology
