What can you expect from this position?

Reporting to the Executive Director, Platforms & Technology Services, the Director, Technology Architecture & Engineering leads the strategic direction, design, and delivery of enterprise technology infrastructure and architecture across the organization. This role shapes scalable, secure, and resilient platforms by aligning technology investments with long-term business priorities.

As a key technology leader, you will drive modernization initiatives across network transformation, datacentrestrategy, hybrid cloud, private 5G, and the Internet of Things (IoT). You will enable operational excellence and innovation by integrating information technology and operational technology environments andestablishingenterprise architecture standards and governance.

As Director, Technology Architecture & Engineering, you will:

  • Define and drive the enterprise technology architecture strategy, principles, standards, and governance frameworks aligned with organizational priorities and digital ambitions.

  • Translate business needs into integrated technology roadmaps spanning infrastructure, platforms, connectivity, and emerging technologies.

  • Oversee large-scale infrastructure programs, including datacentremodernization and migration, hybrid cloud integration, and network transformation.

  • Direct the design and deployment of enterprise voice, data, and wireless networks, including software-defined networking, private 5G, and distributed antenna systems.

  • Ensure infrastructure platforms deliver high availability, performance, security, and resilience within a 24/7 operating environment.

  • Drive the convergence of IT and operational technology environments and guide the design of secure IoT, sensor-based, and sensor fusion solutions.

  • Establish secure integration patterns across enterprise systems and operational platforms while promoting intelligent infrastructure and data-driven capabilities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, consultants, and strategic partners to deliver complex technology programs on time and within budget.

  • Monitor program performance, manage risks and dependencies, and build strong vendor partnerships that provide access to leading-edge capabilities and services.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team across enterprise architecture, network engineering, IoT, and operational technology.

  • Foster accountability, continuous learning, inclusion, innovation, collaboration, and leadership capability across the team.


This is the role foryou, ifyou have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology architecture and infrastructure engineering, including proven leadership of large-scale infrastructure and transformation programs.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate degree or MBA is considered an asset.

  • Experienceoperatingin a 24/7, high-availability environment and designing enterprise voice, data, and wireless networks.

  • Experience with datacentrestrategy, modernization, migration, and hybrid cloud integration, as well as integrating IT and operational technology environments.

  • Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance practices, network infrastructure, and connectivity technologies.

  • Advanced leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and strategic planning capabilities.

  • Relevant industry certifications in architecture, networking, or cloud platforms. TOGAF, Azure or AWS Architect, CCNP/CCIE, ITIL or COBIT, PMP, CISSP, or GICSP certifications are considered assets.

  • Experience implementing private wireless networks and IoT ecosystems, working in highly regulated or critical infrastructure environments, or leading enterprise-wide modernization and digital transformation initiatives is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of airport or transportation infrastructure systems, cybersecurity frameworks for IT/OT environments, and strong business and financial acumen is considered an asset.

  • The ability to obtain andretaina Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
