How You Will Make an ImpactFrida is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition to join our People Team based in Miami, FL. The selected candidate will lead Frida's talent acquisition strategy and build the recruiting capabilities, processes, and pipelines needed to support the company's continued growth. This leader will own full-cycle recruiting across functions and levels while partnering closely with executives and hiring managers to anticipate talent needs, identify exceptional candidates, and continuously improve how Frida attracts, assesses, and hires talent. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on talent leader who combines strong business acumen with exceptional recruiting instincts, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for building high-performing teams. The Director, Talent Acquisition will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities to include:
- Lead end-to-end recruiting across functions and levels, remaining hands-on with critical, senior-level, and hard-to-fill searches while ensuring consistent execution across all open roles
- Partner with the CHRO, executive leadership, Finance, and hiring managers to translate business plans into proactive workforce and recruiting plans
- Build and continuously strengthen diverse talent pipelines based on anticipated hiring needs, market dynamics, talent availability, and business priorities
- Serve as a trusted talent advisor to leaders, bringing market insights, recruiting expertise, and informed perspectives to hiring decisions while constructively challenging assumptions when needed
- Design and continuously improve scalable recruiting processes, including intake and role definition, sourcing, screening, structured interviewing, candidate assessment, selection, and reporting. Establish consistent, effective assessment practices and tools, including competency-based interview guides, evaluation criteria, and interviewer training, to improve the quality and consistency of hiring decisions
- Own the candidate experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle, creating thoughtful and differentiated experiences that reflect Frida's culture and deliver a high level of service to candidates and hiring teams
- Partner with the People Operations Manager to develop and execute employer branding and talent attraction strategies that strengthen Frida's reputation and ability to compete for exceptional talent
- Lead, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition team members through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, mentorship, and professional development
- Evaluate recruiting technology, tools, and external resources to improve efficiency, scalability, candidate engagement, and decision-making across the recruiting process
- Build and manage relationships with external search partners, establishing clear expectations and using agencies strategically to supplement internal recruiting capabilities when needed
- Stay closely connected to talent-market trends and emerging recruiting practices, bringing forward creative, practical solutions that strengthen Frida's ability to attract and hire exceptional talent
- Champion accountability, collaboration, candor, and continuous improvement across the hiring process, helping leaders make thoughtful talent decisions while maintaining momentum in a fast-moving environment
- Support additional People Team initiatives and projects as business needs evolve
What You Will Need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
- 10+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting and Talent Acquisition experience, ideally including both in-house and agency environments
- Experience leading Talent Acquisition in a high-growth or rapidly evolving organization, with demonstrated success building or scaling recruiting programs and processes
- Experience recruiting across multiple functions, disciplines, and levels, including senior-level and specialized roles
- Consumer products, consumer goods, retail, or other relevant consumer-focused industry recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic Talent Acquisition leader and hands-on recruiter, moving comfortably between long-term planning and day-to-day execution
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand organizational priorities, translate business needs into talent strategies, and advise senior leaders on hiring decisions
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing structured, scalable recruiting and candidate assessment practices
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience defining recruiting metrics, interpreting talent data, identifying trends, and using insights to improve performance and decision-making
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technology, sourcing platforms, and other tools that support efficient and scalable Talent Acquisition operations
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence executives, hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional partners through credibility, judgment, and clear communication
- Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated success coaching, developing, and setting clear expectations for recruiting team members
- Creative and resourceful problem solver who is comfortable challenging established approaches, testing new ideas, and adapting quickly as business needs evolve
- High level of judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential employee, candidate, and organizational information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which requirements and priorities constantly change
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
- A self-starter with an ability to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
