WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE

The Global Sustainability Product Lead, Americas will sit within our Global Sustainability team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering sustainable packaging priorities across the region.

The Sustainability team supports client sustainability objectives across product and supply chain, with a focus on strategy, operational delivery, reporting, supplier engagement and legislation tracking. We work closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, suppliers, consultants and external organisations across three geographic regions to translate sustainability ambitions into practical, measurable action.

This is a senior regional leadership role within our Americas Sustainability function. The successful candidate will lead the regional sustainability team, partner closely with the client to develop and deploy sustainable packaging strategies, and provide expert guidance on evolving legislation, supplier engagement and performance delivery. The role requires strong judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to align internal and external stakeholders around clear priorities and measurable outcomes. Key expectations include:

  • Develop and lead the strategic direction for sustainable packaging across the Americas region.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and senior-level support for client-led initiatives and cross-functional tms programmes.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of current and emerging legislation, market trends and packaging sustainability requirements.
  • Build and manage effective partnerships with key external stakeholders, industry bodies, suppliers and specialist partners.
  • Lead, coach and develop a regional team of sustainability subject matter experts.
  • Lead the client relationship for sustainable packaging, including KPI delivery, progress reporting and issue resolution.
  • Develop and leverage supplier relationships to identify opportunities, mitigate risks and support delivery of sustainability goals.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Define the external engagement strategy and priorities for North American markets.
  • Translate client sustainability requirements into clear recommendations, action plans and decision-ready guidance for the region.
  • Prioritise and manage resources effectively to support regional delivery, team capability and stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive improvements to systems, tools and processes that strengthen sustainability reporting, governance and delivery across North America.
  • Manage delivery of the North America sustainability budget, including oversight of third-party provider budgeting and spend management.
  • Provide input into global budget planning and ongoing financial management for the tms Sustainability function.

  • Sustainability reporting, governance and delivery processes are strengthened so performance is easier to track, explain and improve.
  • The regional sustainability team is focused, well supported and able to deliver high-quality work through clear priorities, strong collaboration and effective development.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • 8+ years' relevant experience in sustainable packaging, product sustainability, supply chain sustainability or a closely related field.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading sustainable packaging strategy or transformation for a major brand, retailer, foodservice business or complex client organisation.
  • Strong client management capability, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance commercial, operational and sustainability priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working across matrixed, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • People management experience, including coaching, prioritisation, performance management and team development.


Starting salary between $140,750-$189,625
