DescriptionPosition Overview:Moran is seeking a Director, Strategy & Corporate Development to help shape its growth priorities through enterprise strategy, market intelligence, and executive decision support. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), the Director turns research, commercial insight, and financial analysis into practical recommendations on where and how Moran should grow.
This hands-on individual-contributor role offers close partnership with the CGO and collaboration with business and functional leaders. The initial emphasis is strategic planning, market intelligence, and executive analysis. As acquisition opportunities arise, the Director will be a key analytical partner to the CGO, helping evaluate opportunities and develop evidence-based investment recommendations for the Board.
Responsibilities:Enterprise Strategy and Market Intelligence- Lead the enterprise strategic-planning process under the CGO's direction, partnering with business and functional leaders to translate business-unit plans into enterprise priorities, milestones, and measures of progress.
- Build a recurring market-intelligence capability covering customers, competitors, industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities and risks. Combine external research with insights from Business Development and operating teams.
- Assess new markets, services, geographic expansion, and other growth alternatives. Develop market maps, competitor profiles, scenarios, and recommendations that inform strategic choices and investment priorities.
Executive Decision Support- Work directly with the CGO to frame strategic questions, test assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and develop clear, actionable recommendations supported by market evidence and financial analysis.
- Prepare concise analyses, business cases, and presentations for executive leadership and the Board, partnering with Finance and business leaders to validate assumptions and connect strategy with financial and operating realities.
- Establish practical tools and review routines to track strategic priorities, surface risks and decisions, and build reusable institutional knowledge without adding unnecessary process.
Corporate Development and Acquisition Analysis- As acquisition, joint-venture, and partnership opportunities arise, work closely with the CGO to assess strategic fit, market position, commercial potential, financial performance, valuation considerations, and key risks.
- Develop investment cases, scenario analyses, and Board-level decision materials with Finance, Business Development, operating leaders, and advisors, clearly distinguishing evidence, assumptions, value-creation opportunities, and unresolved questions.
- Coordinate analytical inputs and cross-functional diligence, maintain disciplined opportunity records, and support transaction and integration planning as opportunities advance.

- Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, including business cases, investment evaluation, valuation concepts, and scenario analysis; working knowledge of acquisition screening and diligence.
- Ability to structure ambiguous questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and communicate clear recommendations through executive-level writing and presentations. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
